Property and Development Advice
JGPC regularly provides town planning advice to clients to confirm the facts about a site and present a planning opinion as to whether their proposed development would be supported. This advice is supplied to the client in a comprehensive town planning due diligence report and in a timely manner to meet contractual time requirements.
JGPC also assist clients in organising and presenting proposed development concepts to Local and/or State Governments to obtain support for the proposed development and confirm constraints and opportunities on a site.

We are regularly engaged by local Councils and State Government to undertake independent assessment of development applications.

Planning Scheme Preparation and Reviews
We prepare planning schemes for local governments and development schemes for the state government. Our experience includes detailed review of draft planning schemes to check the mechanics of the planning scheme, policy alignment through a planning scheme, integration of State Planning Policies and compliance with the Planning Act 2016.
We have extensive experience in writing codes for particular sections of a planning scheme including (but not limited to) Flood hazard overlay code, Retirement and residential care facilities code, Multiple dwelling code, dwelling house code, and Social impact planning scheme policy.
We have assisted several councils with the preparation of their Strategic Plan/Framework which includes the provision of policy advice to assist in the formulation of the document.
