John is a recognised leader in planning in Queensland and has received several Royal Australian Planning Institute awards. John has experience in leading a range of complex development application and strategic planning projects. John also provides expert evidence in the Planning and Environment Court.

Joanna Blyth is a Senior Planner with over four years of private sector experience and around twelve years previous experience within Brisbane City Council in strategic planning and development assessment. Joanna has outstanding project management and planning skills with a wide variety of strategic and development assessment projects. Joanna has key analytical skills in strategic planning and in particular, broad experience in local area planning.

Chris Simes is a planner in our office with over four years experience in development assessment and more recent experience in strategic planning including local area planning for Brisbane and Gold Coast City Councils. Chris has excellent attention to detail with strong technical planning skills built upon outstanding academic performance including a PIA student award prior to joining the firm in 2006.
In hist time with the firm, Chris has had a solid grounding in managing the development application process with experience working on a wide variety development types from houses to significant infill development projects such as Newstead Riverpark. Chris has an excellent understanding of planning schemes, the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 and is well versed in the processes of local governments.
Dee Brent has over ten years experience in providing administrative support in the private sector for planning, survey and development firms. Dee assists with the undertaking searches on properties, lodging development applications, and liaising and managing consultants to undertake public notification. She is customer focused and provides an energetic and vibrant approach to her work and clients.

Jen Wheeler has over five years experience in the field of planning and development within the private sector and has worked in both Queensland and England. During this time, she has undertaken a broad spectrum of projects covering multiple fields including the preparation and management of development applications; and strategic, social, and retail planning.
She has an in depth experience in the preparation and management of development applications, preliminary planning investigations, research and policy advice, and preparation of Retail Impact Assessments and Statements. Her planning experience has involved the preparation of development applications for a variety of development types in Queensland including residential, retail and commercial developments.
